I’m Samy Freiwah — a master craftsman in photography, working between Vienna and Munich.

I grew up around art, which probably explains why I never saw photography as just a job. For me, it’s construction. Light, structure, atmosphere — built carefully, not accidentally.

I work across advertising, branding, portrait, and selected weddings, while continuously developing independent projects that sharpen my visual language. Commercial work gives me precision. Personal work gives me freedom. Both influence each other.

On set, I’m as comfortable leading a production as I am shaping light for a film or photo team. Studio or outdoor — controlled or improvised — the goal stays the same: clarity and intention.

I’m not interested in images that are loud for the sake of attention.
I prefer work that holds up — even after the first impression fades.

And yes — I genuinely enjoy building light setups more than most people enjoy small talk.
